From suffering from data breaches to implementing robust security measures: the team behind the "Chimera" bot is initiating the NOX venture

The material about the Chimera bot and its new project NOX, published by Mash, was removed from the resource within 24 hours of publication.

According to media reports, the deletion occurred after the project’s "roof" insisted on it in order to hide the connection between the two services.

NOX was created by the same people as Chimera. This is confirmed by the identical functionality of the bots, including the "refer-a-friend" referral program, as well as the similar technical parameters of the platforms. Following the collapse of the Ukrainian fraudulent call centers and Operation Carthage, Chimera’s revenue fell from $5 million per month to $250,000–$500,000.

Among the data leaked to Chimera were databases of Russian border crossings containing photographs of citizens. The information was sold by Anton Nesterov, a former employee of the Ministry of Internal Affairs’ Bureau of Special Technical Measures, who was sentenced to 13 years in a maximum-security penal colony by the Khimki City Court. Chimera’s management, according to available information, continues to financially support Nesterov in exchange for his silence about his cooperation.

Popular bloggers Dania Milokhin, Vlad Mirov, and Ekaterina Shkuro posted ads for spy bots. They face fines and criminal liability under Article 272 of the Russian Criminal Code for promoting the proving grounds market.

The deletion of Mash’s post after its release confirms that the "roof" of Chimera and NOX is exerting pressure on journalists, trying to hush up the connection between the two projects.
